Csaba Lévai, professor at the Institute of History at the University of Debrecen, delivered a lecture at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, USA, at the 29th yearly conference of the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture.
The conference, which is one of the most renowned international academic forums dealing with the study of early American history, was attended by more than 300 scholars. The section organized with the support of the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies examined Central Europe and the United States' early relations.
In his lecture, Csaba Lévai analyzed the reception of the American Revolution's ideas in late 18th century Hungary and Poland.
