Róbert Barta, professor of the Institute of History at the University of Debrecen, presents A New Beginning? Hungary in the Era of the Provisional National Assembly, 1944–45, an English-language volume based on the papers of an international conference held at the University of Debrecen.
The volume brings together recent research on the political and social transformations of Hungary in 1944–1945 and aims to make these findings accessible to an international academic audience.
