Pusztai Gábor, professor at the Department of Dutch Studies at the University of Debrecen, delivered a lecture at a symposium held at the MuZee museum in Scheveningen at the invitation of the Hungarian Embassy in the Netherlands.
The academic event, conducted in Dutch, focused on Michiel de Ruyter and the history of Hungarian Protestant galley slaves, which is one of the most important historical memories of Hungarian-Dutch relations.
The event served as a living example of cultural and academic cooperation between the two countries.
